The owners and employees at Chinatown Express in Echo Park had something to celebrate on the weekend of December 4, 2010 – the local Chinese food restaurant finally reopened its doors after a fire broke out in the mini mall over a year ago in September of 2009. It looks like they had a blast at the opening!

It’s been quite some time now since a fire broke out in September of 2009 in the mini mall (specifically Regency Cleaners) at Echo Park Avenue and Montana. The long-time Chinese food restaurant, Chinatown Express, has finally reopened its doors, and on Saturday will hold its grand opening.
I’ve heard both good and bad things about the food there, but, heck, it beats driving to Panda Express in Atwater Village (…that horrifying parking lot near Costco).
