Community Arts Fest at Gabriella – happening now!

We’re a little late on the announcement for this event, but happening right now, from noon to 4:00 pm, Gabriella Charter School is hosting a FREE Community Arts Festival!

The event promises a lot of family-filled fun, including face painting, student performances, activities for toddlers, music, art and more.

There’s also a Spanish version of the flyer, which you can view here.

Gabriella Charter School is located at 1435 Logan Street. Entrance to the festival is on Lemoyne between Montana and Scott.

Echo Park charter school takes home Bravo award

Congratulations to Gabriella Charter School! The Echo Park school was recently awarded the 2011 Music Center Bravo Award!

“As Dance Coordinator Chippy Zuniga noted in accepting the award,” said the school in an email, “there are students at Gabriella Charter School who have never attended a day of school without a dance class.”

The Bravo Award was established to recognize teachers and schools for creativity, innovation and excellence in arts education. Winners receive a sculpture and cash awards.
