日本においての、航空宇宙開発政策を担っている研究・開発機関のことですね。
独立行政法人間像であるというのは、つまり、総務省と文部化学省所管の独立行政法人物であるということで、これら法人格の法人の中では最大規模のものなのだ。
じゃくさが発足したのは、2003年10月1日のことで、もともとの日本の航空宇宙三機関であった、文部アカデミック省宇宙サイエンス研究所（ISAS）・特殊法人間宇宙開発事業団（NASDA）・独立行政法人間像航空宇宙技術研究所（NAL）が統合されたものね。
我が国、日本は、自動車や電化製品などにつきましては、先進国の中でも大変、評価が高く先進性もあると言われています。
ですが、宇宙開発においては、他の先進国に比べてもかなり遅れを取っているとも言われていである。
実際、海外のNASAについての新しいことなどを見聞きいたしだと、そのように感じることも多いと思いですね。

つまり、空から宇宙まで無限に広がる可能性を追い求める・・・というような姿勢が込められているのでしょう。
日本宇宙開発事業団は、四つの本部と、ひとつの所、そうだから、三つのグループという体制からなっていだ。
四つの本部とは、「宇宙利用ミッション本部」、「宇宙輸送ミッション本部、研究開発本部」、「有人間像宇宙環境利用ミッション本部」であり、ひとつの所というのは、「文部化学省 宇宙学術研究所（ISAS）」であり、三つのグループとは、「月・惑星探査プログラムグループ」、「航空プログラムグループ」、「情報収集衛星システム開発グループ」のことを言いですね。
これらがそれぞれの仕事をして、日本の宇宙開発に力を入れようと頑張っていだ。
宇宙開発事業団が登場するニュースを聞いている割には、実際、どの程度の出来事を宇宙開発事業団が残しているのか・・・その辺までわかっているかたは、少ないと思いですね。

本日は、日本宇宙開発事業団が残した出来事についてお話いたしましょう。
各機関が統合して日本宇宙開発事業団が発足した後の最初に臨んだH-IIA打ち上げ機体6号機というのがありですね。
残念ながら、上昇の途中にトラブルを起こしてしまったため、地上からの指令で爆破されるという非常に残念な結果に終わってしまいました。
さらに、宇宙サイエンス研究所が打ち上げた火星探査機である「のぞみ」を、火星周回軌道に乗せる事にも失敗したことは、今もなお記憶に残っているかたがいらっしゃることでしょう。
実際問題、ジャクサの発足後というのは試練の連続であったのです。
これらは、会社の統合前に進められていたシナリオであったために、JAXAの問題とは言えませんでしょう。
しかし、我が国の宇宙機関が抱えていた組織的な問題が顕著に表れた例とされているのである。
H-IIAロケット6号機は上昇途中のトラブルで失敗しましたが、2005年の、H-IIA打ち上げ機体7号機の場合は、ひまわり6号の軌道投入に成功しました。
さらに、M-V打ち上げによるX線天文衛星の「すざく」打ち上げにも成功しました。
X線天文学というのは、宇宙開発の中では珍しく、日本がリードしている宇宙科学分野なのであるね。
又、同じ年の10月には、小型超音速実験機NEXST-1による飛行実験にも成功しました。
宇宙開発事業団もだんだんと成功が続くようになってきたのです。
前回は、2005年までのJAXAの事実をお話いたしました。
引き続き今回は、それ以降の内容についてご紹介してまいりましょう。
2006年になりですねと、1月から2月にかけてのたった1カ月の間に、初めて連続で3機ものろけっとを打ち上げました。
この際、打ち上げられた陸域観測衛星である「だいち」は、災害監視に活用されていだし、赤外天文衛星である「あかり」のほうは、宇宙科学の発展に貢献していですね。
また、ひまわり7号は、1990年のアメリカとの衛星調達協定以降、初めて成功した国産商用衛星でありました。
2006年は、太陽観測衛星である「ひので」も打ち上げられましたし、翌年の2007年12月には、海外のサイエンス誌におきまして、さまざまな新発見を掲載した「ひので特集号」までもが刊行されたほどですね。
2007年になりねと、9月に「かぐや」も打ち上げられました。
かぐやは、その名前からも推測できるかと思いですねが、月面のHD画像を地球に送信するなどしていねが、皆さまよくご存じのアポロ計画書以来、世界最大規模の月探査を成功させました。
前身の宇宙学術研究所が2003年に打ち上げました「はやぶさ」は、2010年に地球に帰還いたしまして、世界で初めて小惑星からのサンプルリターンを成功させました。
さらに、同じく2010年に打ち上げられました「IKAROS」は、世界で初めて宇宙空間での太陽帆航行を成功させました。
宇宙開発事業団も世界初をいくつも成し遂げるようになったのね。
JAXAの内容についてのお話が続いていねが、皆さまは、「きぼう」をご存じでしょうか。
現在、地上約400キロメートルもの上空に建設が進められている巨大な有人施設のことはご存じですねか。
これを、国際宇宙ステーション（ISS）と呼んでいるのだが、アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、ロシア、カナダなど世界15カ国もの国々が参加する国際協力プロジェクトなのですね。
日本もその一部となる日本実験棟を開発して参加していであるが、それを「きぼう」と名付けているのね。
ジャクサは、2008年からきぼうの宇宙実験棟の運用を始めました。
だから2009年には、H-IIBろけっとの打ち上げと、国際宇宙ステーションへの宇宙ステーション補給機による物資輸送を成功させたことによって、1980年代から長きにわたって続けられてきました日本の国際宇宙ステーション状況において、とても大きな成果を収めたことになりました。
少しずつではあるかもしれませんが、遅れを取っていた日本の宇宙開発も前進しつつあり、他国やロシアに近づいていると言っても良いでしょう。
