What do you think?

Does anyone think that this would make a better park than incomplete condo complex?

I was hoping you guys would write something about this spot. Has anyone tried contacting the owners to see what the deal is? They could atleast take down the “Models debuting April 2009” sign down.

Please destroy this eyesore and give us the park we need! And, we really don’t need condos, more cars and congestion at that intersection.

Jared: we’ll write up an update on this section for you guys soon, I believe right now they are still trying to get the finances in order with a (hopefully) new investor.

For those of you who don’t know the property owner ran out of money for the project. We don’t need another park. Really, seriously. That’s what the lake and Elysian are for. You yahoo’s that have moved into this neighborhood are making me nuts!!!!

This is owned by The Angeles Group. They started construction by my apt up the street and that stopped too. Now it is left a mess with trash and bricks.

  6. Kelly says:

Eliza, are you referring to the Morton Village complex? If so, the EPIA is working on getting the bank to get things going. I’ll post an update on that as soon as we get more info. Or you may be referring to the Durbin project, which I don’t have an update on as of yet.

What is wrong with you folks, a park would be perfect, or would you rather have 100 gleaming apartments with 200 new vehicles on the street?

What about a more specialized park like a playground or a dog park? Perhaps an outdoor theater! The lake can get a little crowded on weekends.
