Acoustic Concert at Fretted Frog

Fretted Frog will be hosting an acoustic concert with Anthony Da Costa, a talented 19-year-old folk/rock/Americana/pop musician, on Saturday, September 25 at 7:30 pm.

Opening acts include Micah, who has played twice in the open mics at Fretted Frog, and Elliot Smith (inspired rock/folk songwriter).

The show goes until 10:00 pm, is all ages, and FREE! (donations, however, are accepted).

Open Mic Nights at Fretted Frog

Fretted Frog, the acoustic guitar shop that opened recently near Sunset and Alvarado, recently threw its first in-store concert and is now hosting an open mic night!

Starting Saturday, August 28 from 7-9:00 pm, the open mic night will host singer/songwriters and acoustic bands for the evening. You can sign up to strut your stuff (pun intended) two hours prior to start at 5:00 pm at the store. Email them at info@thefrettedfrog.com for more info.

Fretted Frog’s First In-Store Concert

Fretted Frog recently opened its doors, and on Friday, July 30, the store is having its first FREE in-store concert. Here’s the lineup:

Walter Spencer (Folk/Americana/Roots)
Haroula Rose (songwriter/Indie/Folk) with Aaron Robinson on guitar

  1. Friday, July 30 from 6 – 8:00 pm

Sometime in the future, Fretted Frog also expects to also host open mic nights and guitar clinics, check the website for those events.

Acoustic Guitar Store Opening Soon

An acoustic guitar store will be filling the now empty space adjoining the Echo Park Film Center in the near future. Called The Fretted Frog, the shop will be specializing in alternative, unique and customized acoustic guitars. According to the website, they will also offer:

  • A repair shop with a large accessories and piece parts selection
  • 3 recording rooms that will be available for instructions and private sessions
  • A team of instructors for all styles and all levels
  • A stage for open mics, concerts, clinics

No word yet on the exact opening, but the website ancounces they’ll be opening soon.

The Fretted Frog will soon be at 1200 N. Alvarado.
